The computer mouse has been in existence since the last 40 years. But now according to a leading research company, the number of days of this device is getting fewer. It is predicted that the mouse will demise in the coming three to five years. It is believed that the usage of the mouse would be taken over by the mechanisms like the touch screens and facial recognitions. According to an expert the usage of the mouse is perfect for a desktop system but in case of notebooks or home entertainment the usage has diminished with the passage of time
The home entertainment systems are getting smarter day by day. Instead of using the conventional remote control systems the systems have the face recognition features and they are commanded by those. However the manufacturers of the computer mice do not agree with these statements. Logitech the world’s biggest manufacturer of mice and keyboards and has sold more than 500 million mice in the last 20 years. According to Rory Dooley the senior vice president and general manager of Logitech’s control devices unit, this sales volume shows that how important a computer mouse is. But he also agreed that the number of ways that people can interact with a computer were rising and that his own company was manufacturing many of them.
