According to a company report AT&T would become the first ever US carrier to provide Yahoo’s search engine by default on its cell phones. Yahoo’s oneSearch replaces a search function from Infospace on AT&T’s Media Net cell phone portal, which is used on most of its Web-enabled phones except for the iPhone. Yahoo will also be providing the advertising that appears along with search results. The Partenership was first announced by the companies in January this year.

Yahoo already has 60 partnerships with overseas carriers to feature oneSearch. For example, it is the exclusive mobile search provider in Europe for T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom AG’s mobile arm.
